Why doesn’t the print button work in my Trendview recorder browser window?

When their Remote View option is turned on, Trendview paperless recorders display recorder screens in Internet Explorer as shown here:
Getting a printout was not as easy as using file > print, because the technology uses Active-X components in Windows, so the result is a blank screen; something to do with Active X and printing.
Honeywell Trendview Software Installs but Doesn’t Run in Windows 7… Why?

I’ve used Honeywell’s paperless recorder software for a decade now and didn’t expect a hiccup when I got a new laptop. Honeywell tells me the Trendview software suite is compatible with Windows 7.
The Trendserver Pro software installation looked normal, but when I tried to import data from a recorder, the import locked up and never recovered. Data would not transfer. Read the rest of this entry »
