Ever wonder if you can mix brands of thermocouple heads, transmitters, or junction blocks? Do you need to send an instrument to the factory for repair or service? Before you disconnect it, pack it up, and ship it out, be sure you do the following:
- Make a backup or copy of your instrument configuration, so you can quickly reinstate the settings.
- Make sure you have a written record of your settings on file. Several manufacturers include a configuration worksheet in the instrument user manual. If it’s not there, you can write them on a copy of the quick-start or setup installation guide.
