Last week, I was doing a firmware update on the Honeywell SLG700 guided wave radar using Honeywell’s Smart Anytime Tool (SAT).
Honeywell’s SAT firmware update tool needs to be “pointed” to the component type (sensor/display/communications module), and then the specific file needed for update. A recent release (R102.1) for the SLG700 listed two different files for the Advanced Display, but it wasn’t clear which file I needed to use.
So, how did I figure it out?
The solution is in the manual!
At the back of the SAT manual, there’s an appendix (Appendix C) that lists the files and a description to help you determine which file to use.
As you can see, the -709 file is English Language, the -710 file is East Asian Language.

How can I adjust the temperature in a Honeywell UDC 1200?
When I simulate it with the Fluke 724 it is 2 degrees Farenheit below what it assumes.

If the two-degree error is continuous across the span, then it can be corrected with a -2.0 offset value.
See the section on Offset on page 133 (pdf) in the 51-52-25-122 manual.
If the error is not continuous, but increases or decrease across the span, then the UDC 1200 can be calibrated. See the two-page calibration procedure on pages 120-121 (pdf) in the 51-52-25-122 manual.
